my last couple of crummy and unprofessional posts spoke to two key words, assumption and frustration… so this post will be a quick summary pointing-out another ‘captain obvious’ statement… we get burned by exploiters because we have an over-all general good nature that assumes that other folks follow the same code of ethics and moral compass as the way that we typically operate…
… some folks call it a process of maturing, or they say that we are operating under a type of naivety, or a level of ignorance… no matter what you’d like to call it, no matter which words best sooth your ego or are more accurate or precise than others is irrelevant… you are exposed to various actors, con-men, deceivers, human-parasites, and folks that don’t like to operate in full truth and disclosure—you know—folks that take advantage of our good nature and level of ethics (conception/understanding of love, reality, and God)… with a self-assumed and relatively accurate predictive-modeling based on our experiences and good-nature we extend the same ‘benefit of doubt’ to others, some folks like to call it ‘not judging a book by the cover’, bias, presumed innocence—i dunno, there are probably many other more precise definitions and examples to draw from… but folks that are too smart for their own good (folks that use their intelligence and resources to fvck with others rather than getting on board with ‘loving your neighbor as yourself’) are usually good enough to keep up their acting-performance, and hiding their deceit for as long as possible until they are caught, or mature past childish nature and choose to operate in reality (see the light, or, come to Jesus moment).
… some assumptions demonstrate Einstein’s definition of insanity (doing the same thing repetitively and expecting differing—better—results), some assumptions demonstrate how stuck in routines we are, some assumptions demonstrate lack of experience, and many assumptions demonstrate/project our degree of morals, ethics, and respect toward others, we don’t expect the deviant predatory actions/behaviors of others… try to suggest a decent product/solution to a salesman or protagonist and watch how they respond—many times assuming that you are trying to burn/manipulate them, sometimes from their own experience getting burned themselves, and sometimes because they are accustomed to burning others as they know best… i mentioned my fondness of a product to an insurance and financial salesman in the past only to have him assume that i was trying to sell him something (projecting their manipulation and exploitation of others)… anyhow, people sometimes use others, and sometimes we are used, and sometimes it takes getting used too many times before we smarten-up to understand that there is good AND evil simultaneously occupying/dwelling in the same geography/environment as us…
… it’s not right to assume that everyone is a deviant predator, and it’s equally not normal to assume that everything is as good as it was conveyed/sold to you, but experience and maturity help with accurate discernment (we are presumed to grow wiser in older-age), but don’t think that your good-nature should be completely abandoned, it’s a projection of your heart and soul, it’s transparency that normal people appreciate, and in a perfect world free of evil/sin—and those who practice such deviancy—it would probably be accurate/noble and appreciated by all… well, look, i don’t think i need to belabor what’s already been said, and what you probably already know—i just thought you’d appreciate the reminder… God bless — ct
i think i was ego-driven and doubled-checked a few things, and reader statistics lowered for this obscure post, how do account for 'less than recorded viewers' overnight? i don't really give a crap about statistics, but when i finally spend the effort check and notice over-night anomalies then a guy gets a bit more suspicious of such anomalies, but how do you just lower page-count... what kind of weird tabulating hits per page that's hard to really measure or calculate/count? so no big deal, i just consider i an anomaly, a glitch, whatever.
intelligence and free will are gifts that folks abuse more than drugs/ethanol... my advice to the reader, use your God-given gifts responsibly, don't assume, but with that said--assuming may help you grow--the hard-way... that's generally how i learn :-)
